Rosen Harwood, P.A.

Rosen Harwood was founded in 1967 by Judge Gordon Rosen (Municipal Court of the City of Tuscaloosa, 1970-1984) and Judge R. Bernard Harwood, Jr. (Alabama Supreme Court, retired). Judge Harwood remains active in the firm’s practice.

While having the benefit of an impressive heritage, the firm maintains an innovative approach to the high quality service it provides. Rosen Harwood continually adapts to advancing technology and legal trends. To serve clients most effectively, our attorneys utilize highly developed software, online research tools, and online access to court and probate records.

Partnering with a local bank and accounting firm in 2009 to build a four-story office complex on the Black Warrior River, Rosen Harwood is pleased to be a contributor to the community’s riverfront development. The City of Tuscaloosa welcomed the development, as it promoted the City’s goal of maximizing the river’s potential as a public and private place. The environmentally-friendly building is the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified project in West Alabama.

Rosen Harwood stands out as a progressive leader in the Tuscaloosa community, on a company as well as individual level. While the firm’s attorneys and staff maintain a strong commitment as professionals, they also apply their knowledge and skills to support the community. The firm’s attorneys fully participate in pro bono projects including the Volunteer Lawyer’s Program and Wills for Heroes. Rosen Harwood attorneys and staff are also actively involved in many community organizations and charities. Most recently, the firm was named one of the 2010 Best Companies to Work for in Alabama, an accolade of only fifteen businesses in the state.
