Kathryn O. Pope

Kathryn Osburne Pope was born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1980, and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Ms. Pope attended the University of Alabama where she received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2002.

In 2004, Ms. Pope began attending The University of Alabama School of Law, where she was a student member of the Farrah Law Society, a judicial extern for the Alabama Supreme Court, Treasurer of Phi Delta Phi, a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, and President of Law School’s Public Interest Institute. In 2007 she received the Dean’s Community Service Award, as well as the Dean Thomas W. Christopher Award.

Ms. Pope received her Juris Doctorate in 2007 and was admitted to practice in Alabama the same year. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts in the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama.

Ms. Pope is a member of the Alabama State Bar, American Bar Association, the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association, and is a committee member for the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Association.

Ms. Pope currently serves on the board of directors for Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa, Inc., a non-profit organization working to prevent child abuse and neglect, and to help children who are victims of abuse and neglect.
